Scott Barber was born and raised outside of New York City but became a Californian in High School. He went on to attend the University of California, Davis and developed a love of science and physiology which propelled him to Dental school at Creighton University in Omaha, NE. Dr. Barber continued after dental school to complete an Internship year at UCLA and four more years at the University of Missouri at Kansas City.

Dr. Barber has over 10 years of experience as an Oral Surgeon in private practice and hospital settings. Currently, he practices in locations in Lawrence and Topeka. In addition, he’s been an attending Surgeon and Associate Clinical Professor at the residency in Kansas City. He holds hospital appointments at Lawrence Memorial, Truman Medical Center and Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

He is a Board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon with years of experience in private practice and clinical education. Dr. Barber has a particular interest in Oral Pathology and dentoalveolar surgery and well as a proficiency in dental implant surgery, bone grafting, and pre-prosthetic surgery. Dr. Scott Barber also takes great pride in his other interests including his coral reef aquariums, his aptitude as an aspiring pastry chef, marathon runner, and triathlete. Of course, most of all he loves being a father and husband and always makes time to play a little Minecraft with his two kids.
